The Story Behind the Picture

These photographs will be familiar to Durham Photographic Society members. They have been successful in club or inter-club competitions, Internationals, distinctions panels or simply much admired within portfolio forums – or a combination of these. But what was the photographer thinking and experiencing when taking the picture? Were there technical aspects of interest during capture or post-capture processing? This series gives the answers in the photographers’ own words.
