MY FAVOURITE PHOTOGRAPHERS David Bailey, Terence Donavon and Ansel Adams ME AND THE DPS I joined two years ago and have never looked back. I won the Ted Mansell Award for best print in the DPS Annual Exhibition in Durham Cathedral in 2009. I have had several Highly Commendeds in various competitions and Third place in the George Samuel Trophy. THE THINGS I ENJOY MOST BEING A MEMBER OF THE DPS Talking to other people with the same interests, taking part in competitions and the enthusiasm and help I get from fellow members. I also had a great time taking part in the Photography Assignment Group outing to Paddy’s Hole, South Gare. THE PEARL (Advice to budding photographers) Enjoy your photography! As for the judges, do what gives you pleasure and don’t give up.
